NoMeansNo Rocks!!! Best band out of the East Bay, IMHO...
"The Day The World Became Nothing" is a must hear.
The Butthole Surfers put out some great art, will have to scan some in..
Also have to say, Tex and The Horseheads first LP....
Here is some 70s God Head for you...

a few off the top of my head.
some of them have to do with other packaging too.
shellac - comes in a box like a reel of tape that opens up exactly the same. the cd looks like a reel of analog tape as well. im a studio nerd so thats all kinds of cool to me.
isis - two layer clear overlay with printing on both levels. just nice.
napalm death - 1989. classic. this album literally changed my life. as did most of these.
pink floyd - with the burnt edge...just too cool.
carcass - reek of putrefaction...a total assault on the eyes.
john zorn/naked city - just simple and bad ass.
naked city (inner sleeve) - had to post it.
these are just off the top of my head.
more to come.
the big black is a classic though. love that one. nice choice. |

I know that by "East Bay" you meant Victoria, BC, Canada. |

here are a few that bring back good memories for me...
I can still listen to this one side A to side B over and over. I used to draw Milo on everything.
Glen E. Friedman is the man.
To me, this one gave Metallica a pretty bad-ass image.
I thought Iron Maiden were more bad-ass than they actually were too. Because of Eddie.
I still love this cover. Awesome colors, awesome logo.
This one always stood out from the rest of my tapes. I liked the green and purple they used too.
Remember when cd's came in that cardboard packaging? This one stayed on my wall for years.
So did this one. God i'm glad I never got this tattoo like I wanted when I was younger. It's okay to laugh.
And just fot the hell of it i'm throwing this one in there too. Not Necessarily my favorite artwork but this was the first tape I ever bought. The subliminal EAT ME is still funny though. |
