Most cities are getting a bit hectic... even Fargo had some chaos last night. It was heartbreaking that our local shop (This) had boarded up the windows to avoid potential problems... Lucky that they didn't get hit. I live on the edge of downtown and I stayed the night somewhere else, because "what if..." Things were fine, but the thought of evacuating in the middle of the night didn't sit well with me.
It's also troubling that I'm seeing a lot of shops (Familia/CalSurf- Minneapolis, The Point- Denton, TX, Cal Skate- Portland, OR) that have got hit, & looted.
I know this is bigger than that, but it's pretty frustrating seeing the narritive being hijacked by troublemakers and white nationalists to try spark a race war. Scumbag oppertuinists are really the lowest to make this about them. Did that cop really think it was fine to behave that way? What did you think would happen?!? I feel that underlying problems have erupted. I think the frustration of the virus and seeing white, armed protesters shouting in cops faces (the "open it up" protests) and everyone being fine with it really does not help things.
It didn't have to be this way. That cop shouln't have killed that man.
Shit, I've venting... sorry. |

Not sure how accurate that is. There's no shortage of willing and able shit starters on both sides of the coin. The St Paul Mayor originally said that ALL arrested were from out of state. He quickly backtracked when the actual data came out.

I wonder if Antifa's threat to invade the "white hoods" and "take what's theirs" every occurred. I have my doubts.
There are always going to be pieces of shit in all walks of life and all professions. Sorry, but The majority of cops are solid folks. The majority of black, white, yellow, red, brown, etc people are solid folks. The majority of Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists are solid people.
If EVERYONE took the time to see the individual, not the collective, we would be a lot better off. |

This morning leaders in the protests were saying those that show up in the evening protests say they are seeing people not even involved in the protest, just showing up, causing shit and taking advantage of the protest for cover so they can loot specific targets. That makes 3 sides.

I read earlier this week that Antifa hasn't really been involved and won't be until a facist component emerges. Trump mentioning them kind of tells me they aren't even involved, since he is so prone to lie about everything.
His having a peaceful protest attacked and chased away from the White House so he could walk across the park across the street to a closed church for a photo-op is so wrong on so many levels... |
