Skateboarder for 23 years, but new to downhill / longboard style of skating.
I just picked up a Earthwing Super Charger. I have a set of Indy 215's and 77mm Speed Vents.
I have a set of Wedge style risers.
Do I want to have the high side of the wedge toward the center of the board or away from it?
My guess would be to have the high side pointing to the center, making a greater 'rake' angle on the kingpin. This would make them more stable under high speed? Is this correct?

The only thing that's confusing is the diagram is about Trackers!
So according to that, its more stable at high speed with the high sides facing out...
But then again, since I'm just starting out, I may as well just put the trucks on backwards. |

On the supercharger, keep both fat ends facing backwards. That'll stabilize the rear while livening up the front. Although, technically, you don't need wedges on that board anyway...you can probably get by with some quarter inch shock pads since Earthwing boards were mostly designed with Indys in mind.
Here's a better diagram:

There's a nice little downgrade that follows the river here - can't wait to go try this thing out! |

I took 'er out today by the river - nothing really in the way of real downhillin' but definitely some downgrades and it was cool to she how she handles!
Got both the fat ends of the wedges facing the rear... a nice turn up front for sure.
I bet this baby will haul ass once I get the confidence to take it down some real hills! |
