I'm no hunter but my Dad sure is. Nothing like a freezer full of free meat every Fall. I couldn't believe the amount they got this year. 3 moose and 5 deer. We made a lot of garlic sausage, pepperoni and jerky this year as well as steaks and roasts. Gotta love a good Moose Stew.
When I was on Vancouver Island, Dustin Jak and I would get all messed up and go shrimping in the middle of the night. We'd come home with a big 5 gal pail full of shrimp! |

I'm not sure what it's called, but it's kind of a cylindrical net type thing. You open a can of sardines and put it in a pouch in the trap and the little buggers just swim right in. |

@zodiac- hmmmmm that sounds like pretty interesting catfish recipe. i'm not sure where i can find whole catfish in miami. i live near the beach and when i do go fishing it's saltwater, but maybe i can make a day of it and head out to the everglades and have a nice lazy day of cane pole fishing......hmmmmm sounds like i should bring a cooler full of pabst with me! i love the lazy days!
seriously, i usually can only get fillets, have anything unusual for that? |

You live in Florida. You can find whole cat. Although, the Pabst & cane pole method is quite a nice way to spend an afternoon. I'm walkin' out the door to go to work. I'll get you some fillet recipes this weekend. Word. |

Love fishin for cats. Watching take your bait and start wandering away. Hook and fight...some big mommas down around Lake Mead. Even better when you can see the suckers come from the deep and just wander around. Even better when you hook a monster striper. |
