Why is my old school deck so heavy???

Guys, I just noticed how heavy my NOS decks are compared to my reissued boards (same size). Did they use fuckin' steel to built boards back then?
Is it the glue or the wood that has change so much over the years?

which "heavy" n.o.s. oldschool decks are you talking about?
sell them to me and that'll "lighten" your load.
