As in Psychobilly, not as in some mincing about moshing pit dancing around in circles (always reminds me of anthrax 'indians'), but as in going head to head giving yer mates and complete strangers a proper good fucking kicking on the dance floor, knocking the absolute shite outta each other in time to music then having beers afterwards much to the complete confusion of anyone never witnessing such things before
Great fun.
So anyways....
Whats yer worst injuries sustained during such activities??
I saw a german mate litterally lose an eye at a Meteors gig once.
Filmed and released as a dvd as well. WSM. 'Curtain Hell Raiser'
Think i had three ribs popped that night and me mate had his nose broke but hes always been an ugly cunt o it didnt make any difference to his looks! 
remember driving the 8hrs home and stopping at a motorway services on the way home....we mustve looked like dawn of the fucking dead walking into there!

Got stabbed in the knee with a broken beer bottle at a show back in the early '80s. Beat the living hell out of the dude who stabbed me and his 2 friends to the point they had to be carried out.
Other than that... not much at all except the odd cut on the top knuckles after tuning a kook. There were many in need of tuning. |

Umm in SF as a young man with a "funny" hairdo, watching the Klingonz, Demented, 'ors, Batz, etc. with the 5 other people who knew who the band even was. Regular "pit"action interrupted by a half ass attempt at this "wrecking" thing that we had maybe heard about on a Stomping at the Klubfoot record sleeve or the back pages of a scooter mag? You guys would have wept at the patheticness.

Been caught in a mosh, slammed more than a few times, and even pogo'd a couple, but never knowingly wrecked.
Last time I was in "the pit" was at an early Soundgarden show...90? A chick kicked me in the face with steel toed Doc's on. That's the night I retired. |

Nude bowl circa 90 a couple of local HB bands were playing and I vaguely recall (frying balls) a couple of what we called "corn heads" (long hair dudes)showing up and soon thereafter shit hit the fan. I believe one of them got knocked out from being hit with one of the loose bricks.
^that was minor compared to this backyard gig in HB circa 90 where a "corn head" was hit with the face of a shovel. |

| First time I saw that was at a meteors show in Manchester at the gallery club in 1981. The one that they made into a DVD I think. I didn't knw what the fuck was going on at the time! They played the gallery again a few months later and the gig stopped halfway through with the Manchester lot squaring off with the London crew. The band stopped and PPF jumped into the crowd after pulling a baseball bat from somewhere. Bottles rained down smashing on the cymbals. It was fucking chaos. And I have the whole thing on tape! |
